Capitals lucky enough to come out of 2WC with win over Golden Knights
The Washington Capitals have won six of their last seven games and with another brace tonight, they can climb out of the dreaded second place wildcard (where they would face the Florida Panthers).
Tonight, the Capitals take on the Vegas Golden Knights in Game 4 of their five-game road trip. Vegas needs that W to stay in contention for a playoff spot, which means this game should be pretty intense. Key word: should.
Ilya Samsonov will return to the net for the Capitals. Tonight’s game is on NBC Sports Washington.

Samsonov versus Lehner
Kuzy scores on the goal line. 1-0 WSH.
Ovi’s shot squirted through Lehner’s pads. It was reminiscent of Lars Eller’s G5SCWG.

Marchessault didn’t let Kuzy do the birdcage afterwards.
Of course it’s Marchessault 😂 https://t.co/buJsr13Dc2

An excellent passing game leads to a goal from John Carlson. It has been reviewed and…
Tom Wilson was offside. WITHOUT ANY GOAL.
