Welcome to the weekend! Here’s our list of what’s happening today/tonight:

ROAD WORK ALERT: Repaving works taking place today – here is the SDOT alert:

We return to West Marginal Way to pave the other side of the street which we paved in early February. Saturday and Sunday we will repave West Marginal Way SW between 2nd Ave SW and Highland Park Way SW. We plan to start this work early at 1 a.m. and finish it at 1 p.m. on both days. During working hours, we will restrict the area to southbound traffic only. Those driving north will follow a detour route that continues north on 2nd Ave SW to Highland Park Way and connects at the Highland Park Way/West Marginal Way intersection. The road will be fully open outside working hours.

POTTER CONSTRUCTION @ HOME SHOW: the Seattle Home Show goes on until tomorrow at Lumen Field Event Centerand potter construction (WSB sponsor) is one of the West Seattle participating companies. Show times today are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

RALLY FOR BLACK LIVES: It’s happening outside Louisa Boren STEM K-8 this afternoon – here is the announcement sent to us:

On Saturday, March 5 from 2:00-4:00 p.m., there will be a PTA-sponsored Black Lives Matter rally to cap off STEM’s Black Lives Matter week of action. Please join us in front of the school to raise an affirmative voice for black lives. If you can, come with uplifting signs or posters to join us as we celebrate the Black Lives Matter movement. Be sure to wear a mask and respect social distancing at this event.

The school is at 5950 Delridge Way SW.
