West Seattle Blog… | West Seattle Art Boutique and Art Shop

The West Seattle Art Boutique and Art Shop it’s this Saturday, September 17 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.! This new community-wide arts event features dozens and dozens of artists at more stops throughout West Seattle. On this free, self-guided tour, visitors will discover all kinds of local artists and creators as they hop and shop across the peninsula with the interactive map.

Tour organizers have featured each of this year’s entry artists over the past few weeks, showcasing 74 artists and creatives on the tour’s Facebook and Instagram pages, and the tour has collected short videos featuring artists by neighborhood. which will be published before the event. Artists include emerging and young participants as well as established artists with impressive backgrounds.

“The response to this tour has been more than enthusiastic,” said one of the volunteer organizers, Johanna Lindsay. “Artists are excited to share their work with the rest of the community, and we hope people will take this opportunity to meet their neighbors and support our community of artists.”

Many artists have opened their doors – or aisles – and are welcoming artists they have met through the artist-host pairing aspect of the tour. Lorrie Brogan is a seasoned artist who opens her aisle to three artists. “I decided to host other artists in order to meet new people in the community and expand my network of artists. Plus, it’s always fun with more people. High Point Commons Park and C&P Coffee also host several artists, and a collective of artists from Pigeon Point has reserved space for K-8 Scout to show off their work.
