Our unsheltered neighbors will face tougher times outdoors as temperatures cool and the rain inevitably returns.
The Westside Interfaith Network (WIN), our fundraising partner, is asking for clean, wearable clothing in all sizes, suitable for non-housed men and women. Warm and waterproof outerwear is a priority, but the following items are also welcome: sleeping bags, blankets, cushions, tarps and backpacks.
Please review your camping gear and consider donating what you no longer need or use.
Non-perishable food and hygiene items are distributed through WIN’s ‘Welcome Table’, a weekly Saturday meal for low-income and homeless people housed at White Center. This distribution serves as a stopgap for many people who depend on weekly visits to the food bank.
Staples are a priority, along with peanut butter, canned protein, canned fruits and vegetables (pop-tops are preferred).
