Weather Blog – Chiefs Forecast: here comes the sun
Hello bloggers,
It is very cold, cloudy and with light winds to start this big day of playoff games on Sunday. A disturbance is approaching at altitude, and that’s fine. Why? Because the wind is going to swing and pick up a bit from the southwest then the northwest tonight which will clear those clouds.
It’s cloudy to start today, and I’ve just analyzed satellite images and clearing is only a few hours away. By the time you step out of the tailgate, the sun should come out with temperatures warming up to near or maybe just above freezing.
There are three big NFL playoff games today: here at KC, in Tampa Bay and in Los Angeles. The biggest weather concern is in Tampa. Thunderstorms have already raged across most of Florida this morning. It was the storm that made Kansas City our winter wonderland yesterday and the slippery conditions, and it has now reorganized.
There’s a chance that another band or two of rain and thunderstorms will approach and move into the Tampa area, and that would impact the game there. Here’s the forecast map for noon today, which is 1 p.m. Tampa time, when Game 1 of the triple header kicks off:
The weather in Los Angeles and Kansas City is much better!
Have a nice day and GO CHEFS!!!!!! Our prediction is that the Chiefs will crush the Steelers 34-16. Hope the Chiefs are focused!
Thank you for sharing this weather experience and spending a few minutes reading the weather blog. Have a nice day.
