Study reveals the best day to post a blog entry
What is the best day to post a blog entry? Sunday, says a new one blog report published on October 27, 2016.
Integrated marketing analytics software firm TrackMaven’s “How to Create a Better Blog Than Your Competition: 2017 Blogging Report” also found that 3 p.m. EST is the best time to blog posts.
Blogging information for your business
The report shows that companies blog more, but with less impact.
Over the past five years, the average number of blog posts posted by brand per month has increased by 800%. During the same period, the average number of social shares per post (from Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Pinterest) fell 89%.
What is surprising is that the study finds that longer messages are more shareable. In fact, posts of 1,200 to 1,400 words perform the best in terms of shareability, with an average of 428 social shares per post.
But what’s not surprising is that blogs that are standard to fairly easy to read get more shares. Unsurprisingly, posts with “very difficult” readability score the worst, with an average of 64 social shares per post.
Businesses Should Take Blogging Seriously
The data shows that companies that actively blog have a clear advantage over those that don’t. To give an example, 81 percent of American consumers online trust the information and advice on blogs.
Plus, marketers who use blogs get 67 percent more leads than those who don’t.
For a savvy business owner, investing both time and money in blogging makes perfect sense. And a well-defined blogging strategy is essential to get the most out of it.
For the survey, TrackMaven analyzed over 65,000 blog posts posted on company websites from September 2015 to August 2016.
