Today kicks off the very first day of Shepparton Music Week! A first for the region, the week will offer a range of workshops and live musical events to promote and foster the growth of creatives in the region. Nagambie has a new fire station, officially opened last week by CFA chief Jason Heffernan. Although officially opened in June 2020, Mr. Heffernan said the $1.59 million facility will be an “asset to the thriving Nagambie Brigade.”
Unfortunately, a severe weather warning has been issued for eastern New South Wales with intense and heavy rain expected to cause more flooding in already saturated and inundated areas.
Prime Minister Scott Morrison said he could “understand” the frustration of flood victims in New South Wales and Queensland as cleanup efforts continue. He said there were more than 2,000 ADF members on standby.
