Teammate Will Davison called the practice sessions “difficult” but was positive about the condition of their car and its potential to give the Shell V-Power Racing team a strong finish.

“Tough conditions to master the weather and wet areas in the various corners,” Davison said.

“In Practice 2 we had a solid race but unfortunately we couldn’t complete our last lap due to the red flag with just under a minute left in the session.

“Overall I’m happy with the car’s position and we’ll look at some things and come back tomorrow.”

Chaz Mostert was the fastest man on the grid in the second practice session and will no doubt want to continue his momentum in the first race of the season.
