Friday Blog: Winter storm out of here, but even more wintry weather to watch. -Doug
We’re well through almost another work week and another wintry event for areas north of I-44. Fortunately, temperatures will warm up quickly, but we have additional storm systems that we need to watch out for. First, let’s look at Friday.
At least the sun will be out and the melting will begin. Back in the 40s on Saturday as well.
We should enter the 60s on Sunday and push 70s on Monday with our next storm system arriving.
This will give us chances for a few scattered thunderstorms Monday afternoon. Then turning colder the rest of the week with another system late Wednesday and Thursday.
This could give us more freezing rain, sleet and snow. So I will start digging into this system in the days to come. Long term forecast below.
-Doug
Friday and next Saturday: Cold but mostly dry.
February 27-March 5: Cool start with a chance of rain and snow on Sunday. Next system Wednesday and Thursday with a good chance of rain and snow again.
March 6-12: Chance of rain and snow Sunday and Monday. Then much colder the rest of the week. Chance of rain or snow returning by Friday.
March 13-19: A cool start but most of the week will be mild. Chances of thunderstorms increasing through the weekend.
