City of Normandy Park announces new scholarship program
The City of Normandy Park announced this week a new scholarship program “to promote municipal leadership development and civic engagement among our young people.”
The city says the new scholarship program was created to support high school students who are actively engaged with the community and/or municipal government and who wish to continue their education in the 2022-2023 academic year in a college, community college, or accredited trade. school at least half-time.
The city is now offering up to four $1,500 scholarships to high school graduates on a competitive basis who plan to continue their education.
Students interested in competing for the City Scholarship must be:

- Involved (or has been involved) in municipal government or community/school leadership activity;
- Eligible to graduate from high school, complete homeschooling, or receive a GED in Spring/Summer 2022;
- An inhabitant of the Parc de Normandie.
Interested students must send the completed application file to the Parc de la Ville de Normandie by May 27, 2022.
Time range
The City of Normandy Parc will start recruiting scholarship candidates in May 2022. Interested students must send the completed application file to the City of Normandy Parc before May 27, 2022. Scholarship holders will be informed in June 2022.
Instructions and selection process
Submit a completed application form by May 27, 2022. Forms can be emailed to City Clerk Brooks Wall at bwall@normandyparkwa.gov or by mail to City Clerk Brooks Wall, City of Normandy Park, 801 SW 174th Street, Normandy Park, WA 98166.
All nominations will be reviewed by the City Council Education Committee, which will recommend up to four nominations for approval by City Council.
