Amazon’s iPad sale deals live blog: Early deals on the iPad Pro, iPad Air and more

In the US, there are still a few hours until the official Amazon Prime Early Access sale begins, but there are iPad deals to grab right now, including $100 of the 2021 iPad mini – now from just $399 (opens in a new tab). There is also up to $70 off iPad Air 2022 (opens in a new tab)slashing the price of the newest M1-chip iPad to just $559 for the starting configuration.

We’ve had time to sift through all the official Prime Early Access members-only deals on Apple products that went live in the UK at midnight, and there’s no iPad to be found, so the best ones Amazon iPad deals are still the ones we’ve listed above, which are open to non-Prime members.

If you’re interested in Apple deals available only to Prime members, that’s primarily iPhone 13 Pro – up to 7% off (opens in a new tab)and Apple Watch (series 7 and SE), at least for now. Savings on Apple Watch are similar to what we saw on Prime Day, with £40 Off GPS Setup (opens in a new tab). But Apple’s biggest saving right now is £375 off a 2020 27in iMac – now £1,624 (opens in a new tab).

The Amazon Prime Early Access sale has officially started in the UK, and so far the best Amazon sale iPad deals on offer aren’t Prime-only deals – they’re open to everyone. You can save £34 on the 256GB configuration of the 2021 iPad 10.2in – now £424.99 (opens in a new tab)but perhaps the most tempting comes down to £40 off iPad mini 2021 (opens in a new tab).

We really like the iPad mini (pictured above) because it’s more powerful than the standard iPad, but also more compact, at 8.3 inches. This makes it a great option for drawing and other creative work on the go. Amazon has £20 off the base 64GB configuration (now £459). That doesn’t get you much storage, but there’s £40 off the 256GB version, now £579.

If you’re hoping for Amazon deals on other Apple products as well as the iPad, we have good news. Currently, Amazon has $50 off the all-new Apple Watch Series 8 (opens in a new tab). The offer is only available on the 45mm GPS configuration, but it’s a big savings to find given that the Series 8 only came out last month.

Released in March this year, the new iPad Air 2022 is a thing of beauty. Only a few months old, we didn’t expect to see discounts on such a new device. But Amazon US has found strengths, $50 off this year’s iPad Air, bringing the price down to $549 (opens in a new tab) in a range of colors. You can’t get these devices for less than $599 directly from Apple, so this deal is well worth a look. The question is, will you go for blue, pink, purple, space gray or starlight?

So, after scouring the web all day for the best iPad deals, we are now in a very good position to identify the best deals. And this one, detailed above, which drops a 2021 10.2-inch iPad to just $299 (opens in a new tab) is still up there. A $30 saving might seem pretty insignificant in the grand scheme of things, but at $329 this device already offered incredible value for money, so the fact that it’s now under $300 is a total bargain.

The bog standard iPad, this machine is hardly a small device, with 64GB of storage and WiFi it’s ideal for families to share and surf the web, stream videos, play games and take photos. Pictures. A fabulous all-rounder at a great price.

It’s not the best deal we’ve ever seen, but in the UK the iPad Pro is currently £35 off, up to £864 (opens in a new tab). Hopefully a more impressive discount will emerge on the high-end iPad compared to the Amazon sale, but hey, £35 off is better than nothing.

Me again. I don’t know about you, but in my house (with three wild kids running around) a quality iPad case is essential. Unsurprisingly, Apple’s own iPad cases are the best you can get, but, also unsurprisingly, they’re often the most expensive. That said, in the UK you can get a brand new Apple Smart Folio for the 12.9-inch iPad Pro 5th Gen for under £90.

If you want a smaller, more user-friendly tablet, we’ve found the perfect deal for you! Initially priced at $499, US buyers can currently purchase the 2021 iPad Mini 64GB for just $399.99. (opens in a new tab) That’s a huge savings of just under $100! This compact tablet measures just 8.3 inches, but still packs a punch with Apple’s A15 bionic chip. With 20% off, it’s the lowest price we’ve ever seen on the iPad Mini.

UK doesn’t yet see a deal to match the US discount on the iPad Pro 12.9, but you can save £34 on the 2021 version of the iPad 10.2 with wifi and 256GB storage, which is £424.99 vs £459 (opens in a new tab) . It’s not quite the lowest price we’ve seen yet (it’s £419 from earlier this year), but it’s still a nice saving on a very capable iPad.
