2022 U.S. Men’s World Trials | Day 2 Live Blog
Welcome to the live blog of day two of competition at the 2022 U.S. Men’s World Trials, taking place in Colorado Springs, Colorado!
Please refresh your browser every few minutes to see the most recent updates, which will appear at the top of the page.
4:41 p.m. Live scores are a bit slow today so I haven’t seen the scores of the last three who have been there.
4:39 p.m. Asher Hong PH: Scissors muscle a bit to stand on hands, accelerate in his flairs, work very fast and above all tidy, hit his legs on one handle while Russian on the other, but apart from a little break in his rhythm, it does not work This does not prevent him from continuing and he ends strong. Speedy recovery.
4:37 p.m. Alright, the scores are here! By adding them below.
They’re using Brody and Donnell’s national championship scores again on the live scores, so I’m guessing they’re not competing.
4:34 p.m. Colt Walker PH: Unfortunately he rolled onto his back while turning and fell. I had a few minor form things elsewhere, including leg deductions on a Russian trip and in the pirouette for the exit, but it’s not bad, just a shame about this fall.
There is a meet on My USAGym listed as “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!” and i would love if this was secretly the link for day two of the MAG trials.
4:33 p.m. Shane Wiskus PH: I didn’t tap during that but it was a successful routine, the hip angle wasn’t always good and he had a few moments where his knees went soft, but a punch is a punch !
4:32 p.m. Don’t seem to have access to live scores today? I’ll let you know if I find any.
4:31 p.m. Paul Juda PH: Scissors to handstand went well, in his flairs with very good clearance over the horse, transitions well into pirouettes then back down into flairs, working very well and showing great form hip and leg. Pirouettes in a big exit. Excellent. 13.800 (5.0, 8.800)
4:28 p.m. Does this thing start early? It just went live like, the second Yul started the pommel.
Yul Moldauer PH: I didn’t tap during this due to SHOCK of how this encounter started, but it was a great routine from what I saw, better than day one, at least until the very end where he kind of crashed into the horse on the right as he was going to muscle up in his dismount. The sigh. 13.250 (5.7, 7.550)
